Looking for Sublet!!

Posting on behalf of my partner Ally* for a sublet for an apartment in winter hill in Somerville! The room is large, partially furnished (bed and mattress, cube shelving unit, and floor unit AC for warmer months!) and spacious with a large walk in closet. There’s a partial view of the Boston skyline as well which is cool! We’re located near Magoun square and it’s a ~min walk. There is plenty of permit street parking as well and one parking spot that the other roommates share, but would probably let you use until you can get your parking permit.

I’m leaving due to lifestyle differences (they stay up late, as mentioned below, and I’m a high school counselor so I’m up pretty early) and my sister just bought a house and will charge me less in rent haha 🙂 The apartment is baths. The room available is on the 3rd floor (the apartment itself is the second floor). The stairs are thin and kind of old as well, and there are handrails but they’re not super reliable if you put a lot of weight on them! Currently, the two roommates in the apartment share the downstairs bathroom. The third roommate pays rent but doesn’t currently live in the apartment but might move in - until then, you would have full reign of the upstairs bathroom aside from when roommates do laundry as the washer and dryer are up there.

Most important to note, both roommates are night owls so someone who stays up late or is a heavy sleeper is crucial! They are good friends and often stay up late and have friends over so they aren’t always super quiet - I work in a high school so I go to bed early, which doesn’t align with this. There is also no dishwasher so dishes end up being left but the agreement that we have currently is no more than hours before washing. Those are the only priorities
Next steps will include - meeting with the current roommates to see if you’re a good fit, signing a sublease with the landlord, all tenants, and I, 1st and security, and moving in! 🙂
