$500 room for rent for single non-smoking responsible female/male - NO PETS (Portland, CT)
We have a room for rent in the two bedroom first floor apartment of the two family home we own and occupy.
It's on a quiet dead end street in Portland, CT.
30 minutes commute to Hartford and 5 minutes to Middletown.
You need to have your own transportation/vehicle as no public transportation is available in this part of Portland. On street parking is available with occasional parking in back driveway on emergency, snow days.
It's myself, a 44 y.o. civil/construction engineer, and fiancée, 50 y.o. early childhood "returning" student.
We had a roommate who bought a condo and moved out.
The rent is $500 per month, and includes everything (electric, heat, cable TV, WiFi internet access, etc). No additional cost. Asking for $500 last month/security and first month of $500 at move in.
The room currently has a full size bed and a wardrobe closet in it that is available to stay and be used.
Shared bathroom and washer & dryer in apartment.
We are looking for a non-smoking, responsible, considerate, conscientious individual female or male that is gainfully employed to share our home with.
No pets please as we have allergies to cat and dog dander.
Prefer someone in the age range of 30 to 60 y.o. +/- as we feel there would be more in common with an individual in our age range.
Must like kids as my 7 yo & 9 yo sons spent 6 weeks with us last summer (July & August).
