Hi!! I am Katie, a 26-year-old single mom of a -year-old girl named Ava. I am employed full-time by Sacramento County and I work the standard 8:00am-5:00pm shift. I recently bought my first home but I plan to rent it out to lower my overhead expenses so that I can pay off my car, my student loans, and medical bills Within a year or so. This is my reasoning for wanting to rent a room somewhere. I understand the value of someone’s property as I have property myself and in the past I’ve had terrible roommates and renters. I respect privacy and property. My daughter is in school full time and goes to babysitter after school until I pick her up. She’d never be home with out me. Weekends she’s with her dad unless I have plans for us to go out and do something. We also do extra curricular stuff like the gym, indoor parks, movies, swimming, etc after work sometimes so we wouldn’t be home until 7pm or later sometimes. Isn’t that an ideal roommate? Gone by 7am, home at 7pm just basically to eat, shower, sleep (oh, and do homework/reading routine with my child) . Like I said, I’m just in this to save some money and pay off debt. I’m pretty self sufficient, but it doesn’t make sense to me to pay 2k for a house you’re hardly in. Lol Just wanting someone willing to take us both in. She’s small enough still to share a room with me and we’d only need a room for 1-2 years max.
