Looking for a roommate(s) to rent our master bedroom.

The space: One large bedroom with private bathroom in a bathroom duplex near Roosevelt Elementary. House is furnished, has wifi, new washer and dryer, new dishwasher, garden space, and is close the green Vine bus line. Room has a full sized futon bed and a desk, but those can be moved out if needed. Rent is $/month including bills. We have one really friendly and well behaved dog. No other pets allowed. No smoking IN the house.

Us: We are a couple originally from California. We've been living in Vancouver for 5 years. I'm a cis straight woman of color working in childcare and transitioning into birthwork as a doula. My hobbies are gardening, knitting, walking, and riding bikes. My fiancé is a cis straight white man and works for a non-profit. His hobbies are watching tv, rock climbing, and casually playing outdoor sports. We're pretty social and occasionally host BBQ's, art nights, soup club, or game nights. We are clean and tidy people. We both are mature adults in our early 's. We are drama-free. We work full-time and go to bed by pm on weeknights. We cook dinner nights per week. We are both in therapy and value healthy communication.

You: We're looking for someone or a couple who can clean up after themselves and keep common spaces clean and free of clutter. Ideally, we'd find someone who can communicate directly and clearly, versus aggressively or passively. Our neighbors and friend group are diverse, we want to continue being a home that feels safe for our friends and neighbors to visit, so we you must be against all forms of bigotry.
