Hi there! I am looking for a financially-stable professional to rent a room at my house starting at the end of December/beginning of January. I live in a 2-story, 2 bedroom 2.5 bath, 1250 square foot duplex in South Central Austin -- specifically right off of South First between Oltorf and Ben White. There is a carport, large backyard, and large balcony with access from both bedrooms. The entire house is furnished except for the spare bedroom/bathroom, and I have a washer/dryer in the half bathroom downstairs. The rent for the room is $700/month, not including utilities. On average, utilities run around $150/month per person (this includes electric, gas, water, trash, and Fiber internet). Small pets are welcome as long as you agree to be a responsible pet owner, and there is a pet deposit. I have a small rat terrier who is one of the sweetest dogs to ever exist so I prefer a roommate who likes dogs. A little about me.. I am outgoing, friendly, and enjoy the outdoors, music, and generally exploring Austin. I enjoy taking it easy and relaxing at home during the week. I have people over to the house every once in a while, but it is also nice to have quiet weekends at the house on occasion. I am respectful about having people over and expect the same from the person I live with. I drink regularly but I don't smoke or do drugs, and I prefer a roommate who is a non-smoker. I am responsible, respectful, VERY clean, and organized. It is *very* important to me to live with someone who helps to keep the common areas clean and contributes to household purchases and taking the trash out, etc. I enjoy my independence but I would like a roommate that I can actually get to know, as I'm not interested in a living environment that is not friendly and inviting.
