I’m Yolanda. I am looking for a roommate to occupy the second bedroom in my two bedroom apartment in the UIC TriTaylor area, starting April . An earlier move in will be considered. The building is located on the corner of Western and Taylor and has an elevator. Washer/Dryer, dishwasher, central air conditioning and heat in unit. Balcony off the living room. Lease is month to month. I occupy the master bedroom that has its own bathroom. No credit check required. Only proof of income and a reference is needed. Rent includes high speed internet and utilities. I am looking for either a male or female roommate, short term or long term is OK.

I have a small poodle mix dog who is housebroken, sweet and friendly. I will consider a roommate that has a dog. I am allergic to cats, so I cannot have a roommate with a cat.

There is no designated parking space for my roommate but there is plenty of free street parking on Western Avenue and on Taylor Street and around the neighborhood.
The neighborhood is safe and neighbors welcoming.
• Your room is fully furnished with a queen bed and dresser drawers, and semi-private bathroom. There’s also a large closet in the room. However, I am open to you bringing your own bed and other furniture.
• I am African American, no children. I am LGBT friendly.
• I work remotely, full-time during the day. I am Executive Director of a nonprofit organization.
• I do not smoke.
• Although I am a social person, I work long hours. I’m looking for a roommate who is friendly, quiet (no loud music), can be either to themselves or social. We just must respect each other.
