Looking for a roommate starting Jan. 1 in a charming 2-storey, 2-br furnished townhouse on Capitol Hill. Hardwood floors, fireplace, new kitchen fixtures, washer/dryer, small back patio, 1 bath, fully furnished w/ stocked kitchen.

Unbeatable location in heart of Capitol Hill tucked into a brick terrace across the street from Supreme Court. 10-minute walk to both Union Station (red line) and Capitol South (orange, blue, silver).

I am a male, mid-20s journalist. I cover the presidential race and will often be on the road for work. My roommate is taking off for a year to travel the world and is interested in selling his bed and other furniture if you need. Early move-in is possible.

First floor: living room w/ couch, fireplace and in-wall book shelves; spacious dining room; kitchen; full bath

Second floor: two bedrooms (one of which I occupy). Your bedroom has a built-desk and spacious closet.

Lease is for one year with possibility of renewal.

Current photos are of the place before it was furnished. Last three photos are of the bedroom being offered. My bedroom is slightly smaller and the rent is slightly cheaper. I am willing to entertain taking the larger bedroom and the higher rent.
