Updated Apt. in West Philadelphia

Description

The apartment: it's on the third floor of a triplex, with a nice ] landing on the stairs that could be used as a place to store shoes/coats, etc. It has two bedrooms, one of which is about 13x12 and the other is 10x12. Both bedrooms have closets and they share a bathroom. There is a nice, open layout kitchen/living area that is about 15x12. The apartment has heat and AC, new appliances, access to coin-op washer and dryer in the basement, storage in the basement, and a shared back yard. It is in a wonderful part of West Philadelphia, close to Baltimore Ave but on a much quieter street. I am also going to be providing all of the shared furniture, and have a super-comfortable bed available as well, if needed! The landlord lives on the first floor and is very responsive but not intrusive, according to the current tenant.

Me: I'm a 24-year-old, recent college graduate who is about to start a full-time job as a manager at a local non-profit. I studied International Area Studies (with a concentration in Justice and Human Rights) and I am very concerned with issues of social justice and human rights, and I am definitely proud to consider myself a very liberal guy. I'm really looking forward to getting involved with various organizations once I move back to West Philadelphia (I currently live in NJ). I am a straight, white, male (jackpot!), but I am open to living with any gender/sexual orientation/age/etc.

You (ideally): You're a young professional or grad student and you have similar interests and views as I do. You like to keep shared spaces clean, but not necessarily obsessively so. You are hopeful to become friends, but also appreciate privacy and respect my occasional need for privacy. You don't smoke. You are concerned with living in an environmentally conscious way--not totally off the grid, but at least not wasting energy at every turn, either. You would enjoy having friends over for small get togethers, but not huge parties late into the night.
