PhD stud looking for Room(berkeley)

Description

I am a PhD-Student who will stay at the UC Berkeley for research on my doctoral thesis (in literature and aesthetics). I will arrive in January and stay about half a year.

I am really easy-going in terms of flat sharing, laid back and clean. For about ten years now I've been living in multiple shared flats (from 3-6 persons) in different countries - mainly in Hamburg/Germany, but also in Galway, Ireland and one year in Baltimore, where I was a teaching assistant at the Johns Hopkins University.

I am my rent on time. I am definitively not a party person. I am often absorbed from my academical work. If not, I am eagerly spending my time with those great things one can do on earth: I really love tango (started half a year ago), yoga, juggling, climbing, biking... I am passionate about learning too many languages, even though speaking gets kind of awkward. I am good in reading books and talking about them, as well as not reading books and talking about them anyway. And I am mesmerized by juggling balls, they fascinate me in a pristine and inexplicable way.

It is really difficult to get me annoyed with something. I am quite good in contributing to a friendly and cosy atmosphere, doesn't matter whether we see each other often or only for very short moments at the end of the day - no pressure here for spending time together. I am vegetarian but it's fine for me if you're not ;)

I would prefer a room not too far away from UC Berkeley (biking distance is fine). Furnished would be great, but if not its not a problem. Rent will be paid with my monthly scholarship.

Btw: I don't smoke and have no allergies. I like dogs and cats and people ;)
