I’m an artist and college professor, and I live with my mellow 9-year-old lady dog (border collie). I recently moved to a nice duplex in Powderhorn, South Minneapolis, and I have a spare room to sublease. The room is approximately 10x10ft, has new hardwood floors, and a big closet. It is unfurnished. My fully furnished apartment has a huge kitchen, living room, dinning room, a shared porch, and a nice backyard. The shared bathroom has shower/bathtub and a heating infrared light for cold winter days. The rent is $500, and the utilities are $50 including internet. Easy on-street parking.

We are around the corner from Powderhorn Park. Besides the fact that you can run, bike or walk around this lovely park (I walk with my dog twice a day, you are welcome to join us!), there is free Zumba (M/W 6:30pm) and yoga (S 10am) at its community center! We are 3.5 miles from the U of M (30 min ride on Bus 22/22 min bike ride/15 min car drive), and 3 miles from Downtown.

I am home often on Tuesday/Thursdays and weekends grading, planning classes or writing (ok, I also watch TV). I am open minded, creative and friendly. I’d prefer a female renter. While I do not expect you to have any responsibilities towards my dog, she will try to get your affection. (Sorry, my lease allows only one pet).
