I have also never had a problem feeling unsafe especially with a police and fire station just 2 blocks away.The room itself is definitely smallish and bare bones but it can easily be styled by the right person. It does only have one window that looks into a breeze way so the room doesn't get too much natural light .But it does have a very large closet! If natural light is a concern the living room gets toooooons of natural light from 2 huge windows great for plant parents or to sit and bask in the rays!
